Reset for Government Leadership

A Private, In-House 9-Month Leadership Reset for Stability, Trust, and Retention

RESET for Government Leadership is a private, in-house leadership development and coaching engagement designed for government agencies navigating burnout, turnover, political pressure, and fractured team dynamics.

This is not a one-off training.

This is a nine-month reset of how leadership teams relate, decide, communicate, and lead, together.

Agencies partner with The Reset to help leaders exhale, stabilize, rebuild trust, and create working agreements that actually hold, even in slow-moving, high-pressure bureaucratic systems.

What This Is, and What It Is Not

What this is:
  • A private, customized leadership coaching and learning series

  • Delivered in-house for one agency or department

  • High-touch, relationship-centered, and implementation-focused

  • Designed for real government constraints, not ideal conditions

  • Rooted in evidence-based mindfulness, restorative dialogue, and applied leadership practice

  • Focused on retention, trust, and sustainable performance

What this is not:
  • A public group coaching program
  • A generic leadership training or DEI workshop
  • A compliance-only or checkbox initiative
  • A self-paced course with minimal support
  • A short-term morale boost without follow-through

What Leadership Teams Are Saying

(Based on real post-retreat evaluation data)

"Rochelle was fantastic to work with. She created an environment that was comfortable, conducive, and safe to allow vulnerabilities in learning new things and sharing unique perspectives and experiences. She facilitated discussions beautifully and had a combination of learning presentation types so everyone could take something from the training regardless of learning style. Having her conduct this training with my team helped me to learn more about my colleagues' experiences, and will help me collaborate more effectively and respectfully with them in the future. Combining these teachings with self-care and mindfulness practices, I'd absolutely recommend The Reset for organizational growth and training.

- Seth Godin, Equity Manager for City of Golden Valley

I left feeling reenergized, inspired, and deeply motivated to continue my work with a fresh perspective.

“It’s very difficult to facilitate facilitators, but Rochelle did it with clarity, firmness, and spaciousness.”

"My team at work did The Reset workshop in two parts, and it was fantastic. I left with new ways to practice self-care throughout the workday that I wouldn't have found otherwise. Would highly recommend!"

"Ro has such lovely energy—her vulnerability and relatability made it easy to feel comfortable and open during the workshop, and her ability to create a safe, supportive space fostered that openness throughout the experience. I walked away with a deep gratitude for the journey she led us on."

“We shed some of the toxicity of the past — we can move forward more strongly now.”

"I had the privilege of participating in the Sankalpa Workshop with Ro as part of my Yoga Teacher Training with Peace in Practice, and it was an incredibly valuable experience. While I've done a fair amount of inner work in the past, Ro's guided meditation was truly profound. She asked us to connect with our inner wise guide to seek the way forward, and the depth and clarity that came from this encounter were transformative for me."

"Rochelle is a soothing presence and a wise guide. I appreciated her modeling the RESET approach in class — it added value in seeing that it’s possible to apply this approach."

“We finally felt aligned again. It was an energizing reset.”

“The tools worked. I used them immediately.”

“Trust was enhanced.”

5. Self-Paced Course Access

Participants also receive access to a self-paced Reset course:

  • Reinforces core concepts

  • Allows leaders to revisit tools on their own time

  • Supports different learning styles

  • Reduces reliance on memory alone

This content supports, but does not replace, the in-house work.

6. Implementation and Team Agreements

Throughout the nine months, leaders:

  • Create shared leadership agreements

  • Identify and test new practices

  • Address real friction points

  • Translate insight into action

This is where trust becomes durable, not theoretical.

7. Continuation Option (Lighter-Touch Support)

At the end of nine months, agencies may opt into:

  • Monthly check-ins

  • Ongoing coaching

  • Periodic reset sessions

This allows momentum to continue without starting over.

Why This Works

The Reset works because it:

✔ Treats leaders as humans, not just roles

✔ Addresses burnout without shaming

✔ Supports hard conversations without forcing them

✔ Balances accountability with care

✔ Honors the realities of government work

✔ Builds trust slowly and intentionally

This is the transformation you didn’t know you needed until you feel it happening in your team.

Meet your Guide, Rochelle.

After burning out early in her career, relocating, moving into a new Director role, and experiencing a traumatic miscarriage, Rochelle realized the pace she was living was unsustainable. She turned toward somatic practices, training as a yoga teacher and weaving body-based tools into leadership.

Today she is the founder of the Reset, a mother of two, and a lifelong advocate for social and environmental justice. She has taught over 90,000 students, trained more than 1,000 professionals, and partnered with organizations like World Wildlife Fund and NPR. Rochelle is also a published author, an award-winning restorative leader, and a Forbes-featured coach.

She created the Reset Lab so social impact leaders do not have to burn out the way she did. Instead, they can stay connected to their bodies and values, restore trust, and build resilience in the face of urgency and uncertainty.
